B. Klingerman: "I have been fly fishing with Bill many, many times over the years at East Richardson Pond, Upper Dam and at his camp on Kennebago Lake. Bill has planned and led the trips, made suggestion on the flies to use and provided many tips on improving my cast and techniques. His easy-going style, sense of humor and depth of knowledge has made every trip a pleasure for both me and my daughter."

C. Bennett: "Bill Stevens was my guide for a day and he taught me a lot about the different bodies of water that we fished on, how to choose the proper fly and we accomplished a lot in a short period of time. His enthusiasm of the sport was contagious. I spent a wonderful day with Bill."

Bill is a regular wading the pools of the Kennebago River raising numerous salmon and brookies. He regularly fishes the lakes of the region (Mooselookmeguntic, Rangeley, Cupsuptic, Kennebago and others) with his pride and joy, "Field of Streams", a classic Maine Square Ended 20' canoe built by renowned master canoe builder, fraternity brother Jerry Stelmok. We have had the privilege of fishing the area several times under his tutelage. You will not be disappointed with his knowledge of the area and his fishing expertise. You'll find Bill a gifted storyteller....absolutely necessary in the performance of his duties... , an easy going, and knowledgeable guide."

M. Doherty: "Bill was helpful in getting me geared up and took me fishing at a wonderful spot away from the more popular fishing spots. He was encouraging and excited when I caught a couple of fish even with high water conditions. He gave me advice on my casting, made sure I was safe in the water, and even took me up on trying one of my own flies. One of the best days fishing I have had.  Fishing all day with Bill, his only purpose and pleasure was see me catch some fish and have fun doing it. A day I will not soon forget. I think anyone would enjoy fly-fishing with Bill and if you're lucky Jan will make you a sandwich."

K Cowing: "My son Matt and I had Bill as a Guide for our first fishing experince in the Rangeley area. Bill put us into pools holding fish at our first stop and every stop along the way.  His knowledge of the Kennebago river, the flies to use and the methods to fish were dead nuts on. Bill also proved to be a great ambassador for the region. He pointed out landmarks, hiking trails and other activities in the area. Bill is easy to talk to, tells some great stories and at the end of the day, you not only have had a great day of fishing, but feel like you want to return for more. I know Matt and I are planning a return trip."
